HOW TO WASH YOUR BABY NEST

The Cuddle and Snuggle baby nest consist of three parts which are cleaned separately - a cover, a polyester filled tube and a mattress.

The Cover:          Handmade from cotton fabric

Do: Machine wash – gentle cycle – cold water – air dry

Do Not: Leave Damp, Bleach or tumble dry

Inner Tube:         Cotton tube is polyester filled (pillow quality)

The tube rarely needs washing, shaking and ventilating are usually enough.

Do: spot wash soiled area - air dry in full sun or with a hair dryer - Use your hands to separate and fluff up the washed filling if needed once dry.

Do not: leave damp, bleach or tumble dry

If full wash required: Machine Wash in a garment bag and then tumble dry on low heat only, Shake and fluff into shape following wash to redistribute the filling as necessary. If still damp, lay flat to dry.  Do not iron.  Do not bleach.  Do not dry clean. Tube is not intended for regular repeat washing. Just like a pillow it will lose its shape if washed frequently.

Mattress:             Enduro Foam mattress is 3 cm thick providing comfort and support.

Flame retardant to Australian Standards AS/NZS 3744.3/source2, Ultra fresh

antimicrobial treated to improve hygiene, product longevity and prevent microbe

growth. Blue tick certification (AUS)

Do: Hand wash with mild soap by squeezing soiled area, air dry in shade

Do Not: machine wash, leave damp, bleach or tumble dry.

Like you and me, the nest likes fresh air and sunshine. Never leave the nest damp for a long time as mould may develop, therefore keep an eye out for wet spots and make sure the nest stays dry.

Liners are good for absorbing the occasional baby juice or mishap and are easy to wash.

Before wash, open the nest at the bottom, loosen the cords and gently untuck the mattress from the inner pocket. Pull out the mattress. Unzip the zipper on the base of the cover to access the tube. Untuck the ends of the tube from the cover and gentle remove the entire tube. Place your hand inside the mattress pocket and ease your hand into gap at the end of the tube area to assist in easing the tube in and out as required.

ASSEMBLING THE NEST

The nest consists of three parts made out of organic materials: the cover, the mattress and the inner tube. Here is how you assemble the nest:

  1. Fold the tube in half and tuck it into the cover via the zip at the top.

  2. Gently tuck the ends of the tube into the cover pull it through to the ends ensuring that the tube is placed evenly within the cover. To assist with placement of tube place your hand inside the mattress pocket, slip your hand into the gap between the pocket and the tube end and pull the tube through and along the inside of the cover.

  3. Fasten close the zip. A trick is to push the tube down from the outside while zipping. This makes zipping easier and ensures that the zipper doesn't get stuck in the fabric. You can use a finger in front of the zip to make sure fabric doesn't get stuck.

  4. Now place the mattress inside the cover and gently tuck the curved end of the mattress into the inside pocket.

  1. Pull the cords to the desired length and tighten the toggle.

  2. Tuck the cords within the mattress pocket. DO NOT leave cords accessible.

  3. Snap close the press studs and your done 😊

Safety always comes first, and babies should never be left unattended in their baby nest. The nest should never be used inside cots, bassinets or playpens, only a firm secure surface. Always consult the Red Nose website to understand safer sleeping practices

HOW TO WASH YOUR MINKY BLANKET

DO: Machine wash in COLD water. Putting heat on the blanket will melt the blanket's fibers together and your blanket will lose its softness - For best results, wash alone - We recommend using regular liquid or powder detergent when washing - Hang to dry.

DO NOT: Use fabric softener. Minky Blanket fibers are very fine. If the blanket is washed with fabric softener, the water has a hard time pulling the softener from the blanket fibers. It will get trapped between the fibers and harden when it dries, leaving your blanket feeling crusty. DO NOT bleach.

DO NOT place in dryer, DO NOT dry clean, DO NOT iron minky fabric. No heat can be applied to the minky fabric or it will melt the material. Do not bleach.
